How to achieve maximum impact with minimal effort

Many people behave like watering cans. They want to be everywhere at once, seek validation, and want to be needed. Validation is a basic human need, that much is clear. It makes us feel good. However, this behavior could also be described as actionism, because ultimately these people put in maximum effort but achieve only minimal results. And that is exactly the opposite of the minimal principle.

On the other hand, there are the burning glasses. People who are fully focused. People who know exactly what their goal in life is. People who achieve results—with minimal effort. Simply because they know exactly what they want to achieve. Clear and reduced. They always act according to the principle of minimalism.

Do you have a goal?

Do you know what your goal in life is? This does not refer to what is written in your five-year plan or how well you want to do at university. No, your goal in life. What do you want to have achieved by the end of your life? What do you want to be remembered for? Think of people or life paths that exemplify the minimalist principle and inspire you! Maybe you know someone who always knew exactly where they wanted to go in life. Do you know?

Imagine the magnifying glass in your mind's eye. Imagine the channel beneath it and everything that is in your focus. Can you see it? Everything you do in your life is directed toward this one focus. Of course, there are external influences. There are people who want to distract you (usually unconsciously) from your goal. You must let these external influences bounce off you; they must not enter your focus. Only then will you remain a magnifying glass the minimal principle and not run the risk sprinkler a sprinkler according to the maximal principle. Then your impact will be maximized.

Our task for you

Finding your purpose in life is certainly not easy. You have to be willing to look in the mirror without reservation to recognize: Who am I really? What is my goal?

And that is precisely your task for the next week:

  • First, try to figure out for yourself: Am I a magnifying glass a sprinkler? Am I a maximalist or a minimalist?
  • If you magnifying glass a magnifying glass , ask yourself the question: What is my goal—what is my focus?
  • If you sprinkler a sprinkler , ask yourself the question: How can I find my purpose in life?

Sit down, write it down, ask your friends and family for advice if you don't know what to do. But deal with the issue. You will see how your impact increases.
